Wm & Anna moved to ND, Towner Co.
Wm bought 160 acreages of land - 159N-067W-012 in Towner Co. on July 15,
      1899

Wm & Anna were separted by June of 1900, as I have found Anna Mary Davenpo rt
with daughter Ruth on the 1900 ND Census, working for William E. Colem an (a
neighbor), as housekeeper. Anna started to go by her second name. She lat er
married William E. Coleman & they had two children: Agnes & Lawerence. Bo th
      children were born in ND.

I'm not sure when Wm moved to Canada, but he married Christina Anderson Oc t.
2, 1900. in Rat Portage, Ontario. (Rat Portage is Kenora now) It is by t he
      Ontario - Manitoba border.
Chirstina's father John Anderson - mother Christina Sma

      Dear Glenn,

I thought I should tell you the little I know about Wm. A. Cook.

He married Anna Mary Davenport on June 19, 1892 in LaPaz, North twp.,
      Marshall Co., IN.
Anna's father was Benjamin Frankliln (Frank) Davenport, mother Mary E. Lat ta
They had two children, William Everal & Ruth. Both children were bo
      LaPaz.

I have found Anna Mary Davenport Cook Coleman on the 1930 Census IN., wi th
her 3rd husband Otto Blake. (Also Everal & Lawerence lived with them)

Everal (thats what we call him) - from what we can figure out, moved ba ck to
IN to his grandmother Emma Cook, when Wm & Anna divorced. I haven't fou
him on any censes until 1920, were he was then living with Anna's paren
      Frank & Mary Davenport.

I'm not sure when Wm moved to Canada, but he married Christina Anderson Oc t.
2, 1900. in Rat Portage, Ontario. (Rat Portage is Kenora now) It is by t he
      Ontario - Manitoba border.

William Alberta Cook born June 25, 1870 in Teegarden, Polk twp., Marsha
Co., IN - died June 24, 1946 in Tyndall, Manitoba. Age 75
Christina Anderson born Sept 18, 1871 in Stockholm, Sweden - died June 2 9,
1925 in Tyndall, Manitoba. Age 53
Both are buried in Tyndall, Manitoba. Aunty Doreen went to the cemetery la st
summer & could NOT find their graves. That part of the graveyard was not
kept up, & the records have been lost.

My Uncle Lawerence was born in Rat Portage.
My Aunt's Hazel & Della were born in Headingly, Manitoba - which is just
west of Winnipeg on Hwy. 1.
My Grandma, Uncle Art & Aunty Daisy (& her twin) were born in Garson,
Manitoba. Garson is north east of Winnipeg.
I can't remember what Wm did in Garson, I'll have to ask Aunty Doreen agai n.
He could of farmed, but something tells me he worked in the Rock Quarry.

Canada really really sucks when it comes to genealogy..... it is so ha rd to
find out anything. I like how ancestry.com does the US census, by town,
township, county.... Canada does theirs' by land description!!! So you a re
"screwed" if you do not know their land description!!! Or by Post Office.
The post office can be anywhere in Canada, so you can work in Ontario, b ut
live in Manitoba or Saskatchewan, they go by the post office you use.
I haven't really had much luck looking for Wm on a census, the ones they
      have released are 1901 & 1906

So I'll sign off, hopfully will hear from you later....
      Love Julie
