Amminadab«/b» («u»Hebrew «/u»: , «i»Aminadav«/i» ; "my people are generous") was a minor character in the «u»Book of Genesis «/u».
According to the «u»genealogies of Genesis? «/u» and «u»Jesus' genealogy «/u», he was born of «u»Ram (also known as Aram) «/u» during the «u»Israelite «/u» exile in «u»Ancient Egypt «/u». He was also the father of «u»Nahshon «/u», chief of the «u»tribe of Judah «/u» («u»Numbers «/u» 1:7; 2:3; 7:12, 17; 10:14). His daughter «u»Elisheva «/u» was «u»Aaron «/u»'s wife («u»Exodus «/u» 6:23), making him Aaron's «u»father-in-law «/u».
In «u»«i»Bloodline of the Holy Grail «/u»«/i», «u»Laurence Gardner «/u» considers Amminadab to be «u»Akhenaten «/u», the historical basis for «u»Moses «/u». When «u»Thutmose IV «/u» died, his son «u»Amenhotep III «/u» married his sister «u»Sitamun «/u». Once he had secured his «u»pharonic «/u» throne, he also married «u»Tiye «/u», the daughter of Chief Minister «u»Yuya «/u», who many[«u»«i»who? «/u»«/i»] believe to be the biblical patriarch «u»Joseph «/u», son of «u»Jacob «/u». Because the Israelites were gaining too much power in Egypt and because Yuya, a foreigner, had been governor for so long, it was decided that no children of Tiye would be allowed inherit the throne of Egypt, but instead should be killed at birth. Tiye's family lived in the «u»Land of Goshen «/u», so she went to have her baby at «u»Zarw «/u», her summer palace. Her son was put in a reed basket to float downstream to the house of Yuya's half-brother «u»Levi «/u».
