Southern Precinct, Dutchess County, on a farm that had been
occupied by Nathaniel Robinson, where John died in 1767. His

Family moved to New Rochelle in 1700 [!]. They resided at New
Rochelle, NY then moved to Yorktown, NY sometime after 1732.
Simon was a Loyalist in the American Revolution and in 1783 at
the advanced age of 82, he led a mass exodus of children ,
grandchildren and great grandchildren to New Brunswick , Canada
in the various spring summer and fall fleets of that year. He
settled at St. Stephen NB, Canada and died soon afterward in
1783. Grenville McKenzie states that he married a second time
to and unnamed spouse and that the youngest three children were
by the second marriage.
