  Anecdote: Records at the Madison Avenue Reformed Church, New York City state that on January 25, 1825, John Mabey, born 5/14/1814,Emeline Mabey, born 11/24/1817, and Jane Ann Mabey, born 10/8/1819, children of Peter L. Mabey and Abigail Paison, were presented by Effe Mabey, and were baptized. However other records show that these were not Peter and Abigail'ss children. Census: Peter L.
