At this time, his lands were taken from him and granted to «u»«b»Sir Edward Poynings <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Bios/EdwardPoynings.htm>«/u»«/b». «b»Sir Humphrey«/b» gradually restored the family to royal favour. He received a pardon from «u»«b»Henry VIII <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/aboutHenryVIII.htm>«/u»«/b», and in 1515 was granted a partial restoration of his land. At the time of his fathers death, «b»Sir Humphrey«/b» was only eight years old, but was betrothed to «b»Margaret Fogge«/b», dau. of «b»Sir John«/b». In 1532 he made a settlement of the manor on his further marriage with «b»Joan«/b», widow of «b»William Lane«/b». On his death in 1545 another «b»Humphrey«/b» inherited Milton Keynes.
