- in 1555 he and his wife «b»Elizabeth«/b» leased the site of the manor of Milton Keynes for twenty-one years to «b»Laurence Woodall«/b» and his son «b»Richard«/b». This arrangement ended in a quarrel, as «b»Thomas Digby«/b» alleged that «b»Richard Woodall«/b» had transferred his interests to him rather than his son «b»Thomas«/b». In 1563 the manor retuned to «b»Sir Humphrey«/b».
