Chram rose in rebellion against his father Clotaire, a king of the «u»Franks«/u», on several occasions. Following one of these rebellions, he fled to «u»Brittany«/u» with his wife and children, pursued by his father. Upon catching them, Clotaire imprisoned Chram and his family in a cottage and set fire to it.
