It is interesting to note that not only did her first husband die unpleasantly, «u»«b»Sir Francis Bryan <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Bios/FrancisBryan(JusticeofIreland).htm>«/u»«/b» died of unknown causes while it is said, «b»Joan«/b» was seeing «b»Gerald FitzGerald, the Rebel Earl«/b», who would become her third husband. There was no issue of the third marriage. «b»Joan«/b» died 2 Jan 1564/5. There was no mystery of «b»FitzGerald«/b»'s death; he was attainted, chased down and on 11 Nov 1583 slain, and his head sent to «u»«b»Queen Elizabeth <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/aboutElizabeth.htm>«/u»«/b».
