Educated at the English Coll., Douai (then at Rheims), BET 02 Nov 1582 and 1583. For many years from 1598, his widow sheltered the Jesuit, «u»«b»John Gerard <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Bios/JohnGerard.htm>«/u»«/b», at Harrowden, and was suspected of complicity in the Gunpowder Plot http://www.gunpowder-plot.org/, Nov 1605. Six years later she was arested at Harrowden and sent to the Fleet prison, Nov 1611. After indicitment at the old Bailey for refusing to take the Oath of Allegiance, 19 Feb 1611/12, she was condemmed to perpetual imprisionment and on surety for the recovery of her health. She was living at Broughton Nov 1625. Date and place of death not known.
