- Obituary for Samuel L. Thomas
Samuel L. Thomas, aged 96, died at 6:30 a.m. today in the home of a daughter Mrs. Florence Lederer, 2212 South Main street with whom he lived. He was ill one year. Born in Wyandot county, Ohio, Feb. 11, 1852, he came to Indiana at the age of nine years.
Besides Mrs. Lederer, he is survived by a son Charles A, of Goshen, Ind., eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a sister Mrs. Harriet Warner, of Upper Sandusky O.
Friends may call in the Orvis funeral home after 7 p.m. today and until funeral services there at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Robert M. Stelle, D.D., pastor of St. Paul's Memorial Methodist church will officiate.
