- Published in The Evening Huronite, Huron, SD on Tues May 8, 1934 Owen Cook Rites Are Held At Gann Vally: A large crowd attended the funeral service in charge of Rev. R.R. Keithahn, held for Owen Cook, aged 55, here Sat. May 5. Mr Cook, a resident of Buffalo Co., since 1894, died suddenly of heart failure at his farm home, near here on May 3. For many years Mr Cook served as clerk of his district school board and was still serving in that capacity at the time of his death. His widow, a son & two daughter's survive. Speacial music was furnished by a quartet consisting if Mr & Mrs C.C. Swartout, Mrs Dan Hathaway & H.D. Brown. Pall bearers were Earl Cruson, B.A. Thompson. Ernest Sinkie, Harvey Trainer, W.E. Vaughan & Levi Sedgwick.
