  Notes	After both of her parents died by the time she was 11, she lived for a short while with her m other' s sister Lula Pierce Knight in Kingsley, MI, then by Emma Downs Kagel, but mos tly with Helen Downs Beckwith in Elkhart, IN Emma Ellen Downs first married to Nils Ragnar Wallin, then married twice to Marvin Wendell Onstott. Her first marriage was in the Albright United Brethren Church in the home of Paul Nelson and they began residence at 316 South Shore Drive. Newspaper clipping fo r one of her marriages to Marvin stated May 14, 1947. First Onstott wedding in St. Joseph or Elkhart County, IN. Place of second wedding not known, maybe Texas. Burial was in Rice Cemetery on northeast side of Elkhart next to second husband, Marvin Ons t ott. First husband, Ragnar Wallin, also was buried in the same cemetery. .
