Was in the printing business in South Bend. Started out in the
typesetting trade and worked at various printing establishments. Did job
estimating for Service Printers and after the death of A.B. Dufendach
worked with his brother-in-law, Russell Dufendach. Later he worked for
Simplicity Pattern in Niles, MI. Traveling around the country in
semi-retirement he used his typesetting skills to work at several
newspapers.
