- Mary Denson married Daniel Woodruff and moved to New York State, which was considered 'way of f west' in those days. They located in Ithaca, Tompkins Co., where Mr. Woodruff kept a hote l for a number of years . They had 2 children, Matilda and John. After Mr. Woodruff's death , his wife kept a boarding house for some time. Then Matilda died and Mrs Woodruff and her s on moved to New York. There they also kept a boarding house for sometime, then moved to Phil adelphia. There John married and kept a large "Hat and Cap" store. At his death he left tw o sons who ran "Printing ink" works . There Mrs.Woodruff died at the advance age of ninety-s even.
