- According to reunion notes: "Uncle William and Staudards came out to Cassopolis, Michigan on a farm. There they used oxen instead of horses. I was there with my folks when I was real small. They had an old faction squar (sic) wooden pump and trouf (sic) to water their stock. Then afterwards they went to Hastings, Neb. He went blind before he died." psg
I had a May Whiteman born 1859, in Cassopolis, Cass Co., MI, listed as a daughter, but no sources. Don't know where it came from, so noted this note and removed her from the file. psg 6-26-2004.[Abraham Whiteman Marty.FTW]

Per reunion notes lived on a farm near Cassopolis MI where they used oxen
