"Newark, September 10 1870
Dear Brother
I supose by this time you thought it strange that you never
heard from me but since I heard from you a great change has
taken place shortly after we received your letter we moved up
to Norwalk and David was taken sick with the nuraligy[?] for
two months and died on the 3 of October and then I broke of
housekeeping and am living with my children I received those
pictures of your children and would like to have yours and your
wifes I have five Children living 4 sons and three Daughters
they are all married David died a good Christian and was
purfectly raised Cousin David Mabee that used to live with
Aunt Maria is coming out to make you a visit next summer if
nothing happens. I do not know of any thing else to say but I
would like to have you answer this as soon as convient for I
would like to hear from you and please direct to my son William
M. Arlington, 26 Bridge Street, Newark NJ
