- PFP obituary read: "Mrs. Annette Gray, a former resident of
Pleasant Brook, wife of Bert L. Gray, passed away suddenly
Monday, February 17th, 1936, of heart ailment. She was born at
South Valley, February 13th, 1846, the daughter of William
Mabie and Ruth Sophia Scripture. Nineteen years ago last June
she and her husband moved to Slingerlands to be with her
widowed daughter, Dora Korn. The funeral was held from her late
home Thursday at 2 p.m. and the body was placed in the vault
until spring when internment will be made at Westford. The
funeral was largely attended and a profusion of beautiful
flowers attested to the esteem in which she was held. The
officiating minister was the Rev. Roscoe Tarbox, pastor of the
Methodist Episcopal Church, of which she was a member."
