obituary read: Clifford H. Maybee (June 15, 1915 -- Sept. 3,
2003) died in his Port Angeles home at age 88.
He was born in Port Angeles to Henry W. and Susan M.
(Machenheimer) Maybee.
He graduated from the eighth grade at Lost Mountain School.
Mr. Maybee married Alma Bolling on July 3, 1938, in Brewster.
Mr. Maybee worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps and also
as a high rigger in the logging industry. He lived in
Bellingham and Mount Vernon before returning to Port Angeles
four years ago.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge in Mount
Vernon, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife in Port Angeles; daughters and
sons-in-law Judy and Bob Clark of Stanwood and JoAnn and Don
Fisher of Lake Stevens; brother and sister-in-law Edwin and
Gladys Maybee of Port Angeles; six grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Berneace Swegel and
Alice Murray Koshman.
Services: Visitation Monday, Sept. 8, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.,
Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, 260 Monroe Road, Port Angeles.
Graveside service follows at 1 p.m. in Mount Angeles Memorial
Park, U.S. Highway 101 at Monroe Road, with the Rev. Mike Jones
of Independent Bible Church officiating. A reception follows
the service at Drennan-Ford Funeral Home.
Memorials: Hospice of Clallam County, P.O. Box 2014, Port
Angeles WA 98362.
