- Mrs. Arvilla Maybee, 66, resident of McKean St., of this
village died Monday at her home. She had been ill for more than
a year. She was born in Hailesboro, June 17, 1884, daughter of
Peter and Rosina Sweet Boscoe. She married Judson Maybee in
1901. she lived in Emeryville and came to Gouveneur 30 years
ago. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Gouveneur
Grange, Rebekah Lodge, D.U.V. and the Mothers club.
Surviving besides her husband are four sons, Bower of Theresa ,
Harold of Syracuse, Everett and Leon of Govueneur. Funeral
Services will be held Thursday at 2pm from Burr and Green
funeral home on Park st. The Rev. Thomas. Pastor of First
Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be made in
Hailesboro
