- John Mabee left a will 23 Jun 1825 Willoughby, Lincoln County,
Ontario, Canada. "John Mabee late of Willoughby, In the Name of
God Amen. I, John Mabie of the Township of Bertie, County of
Lincoln and District of Niagara and Province of Upper Canada
considering the Mortality of Human Life and being of sound and
perfect mind and memory (Blessed be Almighty God for the same)
Doth make and publish this my last Will and testament in manner
and form following that is to say
First that all my lawful Debts be paid. Then I give and
bequeath unto my sister Mary Palmer the sum of twenty five
pounds lawful money of this Province to her heirs and assigns
forever. I further give and bequeath unto my two daughters Mary
Rice and Nancy Beam all the interest arising from all moneys
remaining after my will _..? fulfilled to be paid to them by my
executors annually and equally divided between them share and
share alike which payment of interest is to be paid to the said
Mary Rice and Nancy Beam until their children become of age to
be hereafter mentioned. I further give and Devise unto my
Grandchildren Sally Ann Rice, Elizabeth Rice, Mary Rice junior,
Salla Julyan Beam, Adam Beam and Barbery Beam junior all
moneys, Notes, Bonds, Book Accounts and obligations of every
Description remaining when the above named six children shall
come of age the said moneys to be equally Divided among them by
my executors.
I further give and bequeath unto my grandson John M Rice unto
his heirs and assigns forever all that my miserage or tenament
lying and being Lot number sixteen in the eighth concession of
the Township of Bertie, District of Niagara and Province of
Upper Canada containing one hundred acres as by the Deed will
appear.
Lastly I hereby appoint Samuel McAfee of the Township of
Bertie, County Lincoln, District of Niagara and Province of
Upper Canada and Rueben Whit of the Township of Willoughby,
County and Province afforesaid to be my sole Executors of this
my last Will and Testament hereby Revoking all former Wills by
me made in Witness whereof I Do hereunto set my hand and seal
this twenty third day of June one thousand eight hundred and
twenty five. Signed, sealed, Published and Delivered by the
above named John Mabie to be his last will and testament in
presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as
Witnesses in presence of the testator."
