- Estella Lucinda Maybee witnessed Milo Frederick Maybee and Mary
Amanda Rufus Milo and his family were east of Yankton, when an
ice dam broke and flooded the area they were in. Because of a
warning from an Indian, they made it to the top of a bluff,with
other settelers,and were spared, after the water went down, the
