      sold land in Passaic County that had been purchased by John in
      1809 and 1810. The Grantors in this sale to Daniel B. Decker
      were listed as Peter Maybe of the Township of Pequanac (Morris
      County, NJ), Jane Maybe (wife of Peter); William Maybe, Laty
      Maybe (wife of William), and David Maby of the Township of West
      Milford (Passaic County, NJ); William Echart (husband of Jane
      Maybe) and Mariah Cough of the Township of Franklin (Bergen
      County, NJ); and Abraham Maybe of the Township of Harves Straw
      (Rockland County, NY). An Elizbeth Payne also signed this deed,
      apparently in lieu of David Maby. This deed was witnessed by a
      John Maybe.
