      Salamanca, died unexpectedly Saturday (April 18, 1959) in
      Albuquerque, NM where she was living with her son, Prof.
      Hamilton H. Mabie, on leave of absence from Cornell University.
      She was the widow of John E. Mabie.
      Born here Nov. 6, 1876, Mrs. Mabie had moved to Rochester about
      fifty yers ago. For the past fourteen years she had made her
      home with Prof. Mabie at Ithaca. Mrs. Mabie was a member of the
      Episcopal Church in Ithaca, the New England Genealogical
      Society and Cattaraugus Historical Society. Besides her son,
      Mrs. Mabie is survived by three grandchildren; two nieces, Miss
      Florashelle Hunton and Miss Marie Hunton of Orange, Calif., and
      four nephews, James Hazard of West Springfield, Mass., Walter
      Hazard of Rochester, Maurice Hazard of East Aurora and Eugene
      Hunton of 72 Central Ave
