«b»Otto«/b» (or «i»Othon«/i» in «u»French «/u», «i»Oddone«/i» in «u»Italian «/u»), (1010 or 1020 \endash c. 1057) was «u»Count of Savoy «/u» from 1051 (or 1056) until his death. He was son of «u»Humbert I «/u», the first Count of Savoy, and his wife Ancilla, and ascended the throne after the death of his elder brother, «u»Amadeus I of Savoy «/u».
Otto substantially enlarged his lands through his marriage with «u»Adelaide of Susa «/u», countess of «u»Turin «/u» and Lady of the Italian Mark, a title she had inherited from her father «u»Olderico Manfredi «/u». After this acquisition the «u»House of Savoy «/u» concentrated their expansion efforts towards Italy instead of outside the Alps as they had done before. Savoy's lands occupied much of modern «u»Savoy «/u» and «u»Piedmont «/u», although several other small states could be found between them.
In 1046 he married «u»Adelaide «/u», heiress of «u»Turin«/u» and «u»Susa «/u». They had five children.
