Politician and collector. «b»John, Lord Lumley«/b», inherited his grandfather's estates while still an infant. He was restored in blood in 1547, and was created a Baron and Knight of the Bath in 1553, on Sep 29th, two days before the coronation of «u»«b»Queen Mary <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/aboutMary.htm>«/u»«/b».
The estates, at his death in 1609, were bequeathed to «b»Sir Richard Lumley«/b», a grandson of «b»Anthony Lumley«/b», who was a brother to his grandfather.
