a young married man in his 20's when his father died and he inherited the family estates. His mother, «b»Eleanor«/b», returned to her father's home at Sapperton. «b»Eleanor«/b» was briefly married to «b»Edward Rogers«/b» of Gloucestershire, but she retained her title. «b»John Fettiplace«/b» died before he was 30, leaving a young widow and several young children. The eldest son, «b»Edmund,«/b» later sold Appleton and Besslesleigh and split the monies among his family.
