«b»Conrad Cono(n)«/b» («u»Italian «/u»: «i»Corrado Conone«/i»; died 1001) was the «u»Margrave of Ivrea «/u» from 970 to his death. He was the third son of «u»Berengar II of Italy «/u» and «u»Willa of Tuscany «/u». His elder brothers were «u»Adalbert «/u» and «u»Guy «/u», both of whom ruled the march before him. His father made him the first Count of «u»Ventimiglia «/u».
According to the «i»Gesta Mediolanensium«/i», Conrad made peace with the Germams under «u»Otto I «/u» when his father and brothers did not. For this he was created «u»count of Milan «/u» in 957. On «u»12 September «/u» «u»962 «/u», Otto granted land in the counties of «u»Modena «/u» and «u»Bologna «/u» that had formerly belonged to him and his brother Guy to the «u»bishop of Modena «/u». Otto installed him as margrave of Ivrea in 965, following his abandonment of his brother Adalbert.
Sometime before 987, Conrad married Richilda, daughter of «u»Arduin Glaber «/u», thus confirming an alliance with the neighbouring «u»margrave of Turin «/u». Sometime around 990, he passed Ivrea along to his relative «u»Arduin «/u».
