Adelaide/Richeza of Poland«/b», (c. «u»1018 «/u» \endash after «u»1059 «/u») was «u»Queen Consort of Hungary «/u».
She was a daughter of King «u»Mieszko II Lambert «/u» of «u»Poland «/u», and his wife, «u»Richeza of Lotharingia «/u». She is traditionally called Richeza, but contemporary sources do not confirm this name. Nowadays it is supposed that she was called Adelaide«u»[1]«/u».
Between «u»1039 «/u» and «u»1043 «/u», she was married to Duke «u»Béla of Hungary «/u», who had served her father and taken part in her father's campaigns against the pagan «u»Pomeran «/u» tribes.
In «u»1048 «/u», her husband received one third of «u»Hungary «/u» «i»("Tercia pars Regni")«/i» as appanage from his brother, King «u»Andrew I of Hungary «/u», and the couple moved to «u»Hungary «/u». On 6 December 1060, her husband was crowned «u»King of Hungary «/u» after defeating his brother. She possibly was not alive at the time of her husband's coronation.
