"After sailing on the lakes and moving barns a few years, he married Elizabeth Dodge ... and settled on his father's old farm in Bayham, Ontario. Mr. Chute, like his father, is much given to hospitality; a farmer, runner of thrashing machines and justice of the peace. He visited his native land the winter of 1852-1853 and again in 1873 with his wife."
