Eugenius III possibly married the only daughter of Alpin, son of Wroid (King of the Picts, 775-779). Another theory is that
Eugenius III married Fergusia, daughter of Hungus, King of the Picts. Eugenius III reigned 814-827.

Eochaid mac Áeda Find«/b» is a spurious «u»King of Dál Riata «/u» found in some rare «u»High Medieval «/u» king-lists and in older history books.
Supposedly a son of «u»Áed Find «/u» (died 778) and successor to Áed's brother «u»Fergus mac Echdach «/u», Eochaid is now thought to represent a misplacing of the reign of «u»Eochaid mac Echdach «/u». The reigns of «u»Selbach mac Ferchair «/u», «u»Dúngal mac Selbaig «/u»and, perhaps, «u»Alpín mac Echdach «/u», are similarly misplaced in the sources which contain this Eochaid.
