Roland/Rolland Patrick ("Tony") Chute, Catherine Neville Chute and Philomena O'Quigley Chute.
From Lara Gordon, wife of Thomas Chute, in an e-mail dated 8 JAN 2007:
"My husband is a Chute from Listowel, Ireland - Thomas Chute. Here's his family info:
Father: Rolland Chute
Mother: Philomena Chute
Sisters: Mary Francis, Marcella, Anne
Brothers: John, Martin, Gerrard
Also, Rolland went to the U.S. during or just after World War II and stayed there for 14 years. Mary Francis was born before he left, the rest after he came back. So we think there may be half siblings in or near Boston.
If you have any info to share with us that would be great!"
This extended family was pieced together when she added, "I just noticed the info on Jed Chute listed under Tralee. This is Tom's half Uncle. He (Jed) is his father's half brother. I know this is the same person as I've met him and Pauline."
With this, the former "P. O'Quigley", wife of Rowland Chute III was transformed into Philomena T. O'Quigley, married to Roland/Rolland/Rowland "Tony" Chute, with a straight line of ascent back to Alexander Chewte and the Main Line. Also, this information coincided with a passenger record between either Ireland or Southhampton and the Port of New York in 1946. Rolland was not on the same passenger list and may have arrived earlier.
