Had homes in Northleigh and Oxford. 1532, proceeded to bachelor of arts degree. 1533, elected Fellow of Magdalen College. 1536, M.S. 1538, B. Med. Supd. 1541-50, principal of Magdalen Hall. 1545-6, junior proctor. 1547, Registrar of Bucks. 1547-8, bursar for the college. 1551, Bailiff for the college. 22 May 1546, made Notary Public. 22 Jul 1547, Registrar of Buckinghamshire. 11 Apr 1553, takes possession of Trinity Hall, Oxford. 2 Feb 1550, appointed by «u»«b»Edward VI <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/aboutEdward.htm>«/u»«/b» bailiff of the Chantry Lands within the county of Oxford. 1551, bailiff of Magdalen College. Related by marriage to «u»«b»Sir Thomas Pope <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Bios/ThomasPope.htm>«/u»«/b», began to acquire copyhold land in North Leigh when, on 20 Jan 1559, he was appointed steward of divers manors by «u»«b»Sir Thomas <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Bios/ThomasPope.htm>«/u»«/b»'s widow «b»Elizabeth«/b». By 1581 «b»Simon«/b» had a house at New Well End, a cottage at East End, 2 ½ yardlands, said to comprise 77 a. of arable land, a small meadow, and 6 closes. He and first wife were buried in St. Peter's in the east. The tombstone is no longer there, but the inscription remains on a plaque: "«i»Here resteth the bodies of Simon Perrot, Gentleman, Master of Arte, late Fellowe of Magdalen College, and twise Proctor of the Universitie of Oxford; and Elizabeth his wife, daughter of Edward Love of Aenhoe in the county of Northampton, Esquier; which Simon departed this world the 24 day of Septembr in the yere of oure Lorde God MCCCCC 84, and in the yere of his age 71; & Elizabeth departed in childe bed the xxxiiij day of December in the yere of our Lorde God MCCCCCXXII, and in the year of her age XLII«/i»".
