was the 20th Monarch ; in his reign, the Picts again refused to pay the tribute imposed on them 250 years before, by Heremon, but this Monarch went with a strong army into Alba and in thirty pitched battles overcame them and forced them to pay the required tribute.
Aongus was at length slain by Eana, in the battle of Carman, B.C. 1409.

Olmucaid«/b» (or «b»Aengus Olmucada«/b»), son of «u»Fíachu Labrainne «/u», was, according to medieval Irish legend and historical tradition, a «u»High King of Ireland «/u». During the reign of his father, he conquered «u»Scotland «/u». He came to power by killing the incumbent High King, «u»Eochu Mumu «/u», who had killed his father twenty-one years earlier. He fought many battles against the «u»Cruithne «/u», the «u»Fir Bolg «/u», the «u»Fomorians «/u» and other peoples of Ireland, the people of the «u»Orkney «/u» islands, and even the «u»Longobardi«/u».
