Nuadu Finn Fáil«/b» (Nuadu the Fair of «i»Fál«/i» - a poetic name for Ireland), son of «u»Gíallchad «/u», was, according to medieval Irish legend and historical tradition, a «u»High King of Ireland «/u», who took power after he killed his predecessor, and his father's killer, «u»Art Imlech «/u». The «u»«i»Lebor Gabála Érenn «/u»«/i» says he ruled for either sixty or forty years«u»[1]«/u» («u»Geoffrey Keating «/u» says twenty,«u»[2]«/u» the «u»Four Masters «/u» forty)«u»[3]«/u» before being killed by Art's son «u»Bres Rí «/u». The «i»Lebor Gabála«/i» synchronises his reign with that of «u»Cyaxares «/u» of the «u»Medes «/u» (625-585 BC). The chronology of Keating's «i»Foras Feasa ar Éirinn«/i» dates his reign to 755-735 BC, that of the «u»«i»Annals of the Four Masters «/u»«/i» to 1002-962 BC.
