«b»Suppo II«/b» was a member of the «u»Supponid «/u» family and was related to «u»Engelberga «/u», the empress of «u»Louis II «/u». He was Count of «u»Parma «/u», «u»Asti «/u», and «u»Turin «/u». Along with his cousin, «u»Suppo III «/u», he was the chief lay magnate in Italy during Louis's reign.
His father was «u»Adelchis of Spoleto «/u» and his mother is unknown. He himself had fours sons: «u»Adelchis «/u», «u»Arding «/u», «u»Boso «/u», and «u»Wifred «/u». He also left a daughter, «u»Bertila «/u», who married «u»Berengar I of Italy «/u».
