Eriba-Adad«/b» was king of «u»Assyria «/u» from 1392 BC to 1366 BC.
He was probably a «u»vassal «/u» of «u»Mitanni «/u». However, this kingdom got tangled up in a dynastic battle between «u»Tushratta «/u» and his brother «u»Artatama II «/u» and after this his son «u»Shuttarna II «/u», who called himself king of the «u»Hurri «/u», while seeking support from their Assyrian vassals. A pro-Hurri/Assur faction appeared at the royal Mitanni court, which his son and successor «u»Ashur-uballit I «/u» would take advantage of.
