«/b»aka Sekhemre-Heruhirmat Inyotef VII; 8th PHARAOH of the 17th Dynasty of EGYPT
«b»http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intef_VII
«/b»Nubkheperre «b»Intef VII«/b» (or «b»Antef«/b») was an «u»Egyptian «/u» king of the «u»Seventeenth dynasty of Egypt «/u» at Thebes during the «u»Second Intermediate Period «/u», when Egypt was divided by rival dynasties including the «u»Hyksos «/u» in Lower Egypt. He is known to be the brother of «u»Intef VI «/u» and perhaps the son of Sekhemre Shedtawy «u»Sobekemsaf I «/u». Intef VII is one of the best attested kings of this Dynasty who restored numerous damaged temples in Upper Egypt as well as constructing a new temple at Gebel Antef.
Intef VII ruled from «u»Thebes «/u», and was buried in a tomb in the necropolis of «u»Dra' Abu el-Naga' «/u». The grave was originally covered with a small pyramid (approximately 11 m at the base, rising to a height of approx. 13 m.) «u»Auguste Mariette «/u» found two broken obelisks with complete «u»Fivefold Titulary «/u», which was then subsequently lost on transport to the «u»Cairo Museum «/u».
His wife was the great king's wife Sobekemsaf, perhaps coming from local family at «u»Edfu «/u». On an Abydos stela mentionning a building of the king appears also the «i»king's son, head of the bowmen«/i» Nakht. He might be a son of the king although this is far from certain.
