      Ahmose-Sitkamose«/b» or «b»Sitkamose«/b» was a princess and queen during the late «u»17th «/u» dynasties of Egypt. Based on her name, she is likely to have been the daughter of Pharaoh «u»Kamose «/u».«u»[1]

      She probably married «u»Ahmose I «/u» who was her uncle or cousin, since her titles include «i»King's Wife«/i» as well as «i»King's Daughter«/i» and «i»King's Sister.«/i» She was also the «u»God's Wife of Amun «/u», but it is likely that she was given this title only posthumously.«u»[2]

      Sitkamose's mummy was discovered in «u»1881 «/u» in the «u»Deir el-Bahari cache «/u»; it was in the coffin of a man named Pediamun who lived during the «u»21st dynasty «/u». Her mummy was unwraped by «u»Gaston Maspero «/u» on June 19, 1886. Sitkamose was about thirty years old when she died, Grafton Eliot Smith described her as a strong-built, almost masculine woman. The mummy was damaged by tomb robbers.«u»[3]
