Susannah Mary BOULDING had at least one brother, Apsley Samuel BOULDING, born in London in February 1848 who also came to the United States and married a Francine HAMPSON who may have been from Tarrytown, New York, although more research would have to be done to verify that link. Another sister, Lucilla Charlotte BOULDING, was born in September 1846 but died of scarlet fever at the age of only 18 months. Susannah Mary BOULDING worked for a time as a nursemaid in London before coming to the United States, sailing from Liverpool and arriving May 1, 1866, although some records indicate her date of arrival to be 1869. There is also some indication that she arrived as a servant aboard the Steamship Scotia in 1867.
