Born on June 5, 1881 in South Mountain, Ontario, Canada. He had been a resident of this area since 1923. Until his retirement several years ago he was employed as a electrician by the Weyerhaeuser Timber Co. He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Kelso. Survivors include his widow, Anna, one son Clarence J. of Longview; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Hedrick of Kelso, Mrs. Violet Sauers of Longview, Mrs. Ruby Kordenat of Longview and Mrs. Lila Fitzpatrick of Kelso; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one brother, Edward Laushway of Kelso and a sister, Mrs. Anna Baxter of Kelso. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. John McMahon will officiate. Interment will be at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens. Rosary will be recited a 8 p.m on Friday at St. Mary's Church. The Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home is in charge.
