«b»Sancho Alfónsez«/b» or «b»Adefónsez«/b» (ca. 1093 \endash 29 May 1108) was the only son of «u»Alfonso VI of Castile and León «/u» and his heir from May 1107, eventually co-ruling from «u»Toledo «/u». He predeceased his father, being killed while trying to escape the field of the «u»Battle of Uclés «/u». His death, on his first recorded military expedition, precipitated a succession crisis that ended with the accession of his elder half-sister «u»Urraca «/u» and her husband, «u»Alfonso the Battler «/u», already «u»King of Navarre «/u» and «u»Aragon «/u», to the throne of «u»Kingdom of Castile «/u»-«u»León «/u».
