«b»Robert II«/b», «b»Rodbert«/b» or «b»Chrodobert«/b» (770-807) was a «u»Frank «/u», count of «u»Worms «/u» and «u»Rheingau«/u» and duke of «u»Hesbaye «/u» around the year 800. His family is known as «u»Robertians «/u». His son is «u»Robert of Worms «/u» and his grandson is «u»Robert the Strong «/u», the namegiver of the Robertians. Robert of Hesbaye is the oldest known ancestor in the line of Robertians that is thought to be certain. He is the great-grandfather of two Frankish kings, «u»Odo «/u» and «u»Robert «/u», that ruled in the kingdom of «u»Western Francia «/u». One of his descendants is «u»Hugh «/u», who was the "last Frankish king" and the "first king of «u»France «/u»". The descendants of Hugh Capet ruled France until the «u»French Revolution «/u», with a junior line having ruled «u»Spain «/u» since 1700.
«u»Ingerman «/u» and «u»Cancor «/u» are possibly his brothers. Landrada, mother of «u»Saint Chrodogang «/u», archbishop of «u»Metz «/u», is likely his sister. His father may have been named Rodbert or, Chrodobert. He was likely the son of Thuringbert of Worms and Rheingau and grandson of «u»Robert I «/u» of Worms and Rheingau, who died in 764.
«u»Ermengarde «/u», wife of emperor «u»Louis the Pious «/u» was most likely his niece.
