      Margaret, Countess of Carrick was the daughter of «u»Neil, 2nd Earl of Carrick «/u» and «u»Margaret Stewart «/u».«sup»1«/sup» She married, firstly, «u»Adam de Kilconquhar, Earl of Carrick «/u» before 4 October 1266.«sup»1«/sup» She married, secondly, «u»Sir Robert le Brus, 1st Lord Brus «/u», son of «u»Sir Robert de Brus, Lord of Annandale«/u» and «u»Isabella de Clare«/u», in 1271 at «u»Turnberry Castle, Turnberry, Ayrshire, Scotland «/u», without Royal consent, and so she had to pay a heavy fine.«sup»2«/sup» She died before 9 November 1292.«sup»1«/sup»
