- Funeral of Mrs. E. Maybee - Wellman's United Church was filled
to the doors on Sunday afternoon with a host of relatives and
friends to pay their last respects to the late Mrs. Emmanuel
Maybee (nee Hester Snarr).
Mount Pleasant Choir journeyed back and assisted and Miss Olive
McConnell presided at the piano. The choir rendered an anthem,
"She's Gone", and the Misses Olive McConnell and Edna Thrasher
rendered a duet "Will That Home be Yours and Mine",. The
congregational hymns were "I Do Not Ask" and "Forever With The
Lord".
Rev. F. G. Joblin had charge of the service and the Standard
Minister, Mr. Shadbolt spoke from Herbrew 11:26 on the subject
" When Moses Made His Decision".
The bearers were five grandsons Wilmot Maybee, Jack Preston,
Everett Maybee, Ernest Maybee, Percy Coutts and Frederick
Beckett.

- 27 May 1934 a funeral was held for Hester Ann Snarr United
Church, Wellman, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Funeral of
Mrs. E. Maybee - Wellman's United Church was filled to the

May 25 - Mrs. Maybee a life long resident of Rawdon Township,
died at her home here this morning after an illness of two
days. Mrs. Maybee was in her 84th year, seeminly enjoying good
health of late. Her passing was received as a shock. She was
the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. John Snarr of Rawdon, her
husband predeceasing her a few years ago.
One son George, now residing on the old homestead, lives to
mourn the loss of mother, while six grandchildren and six great
grandchildren sadly miss their loved relative. Three sisters,
Mrs. Bedford and Mrs. Bailey of Rawdon and Mrs. Judd of Chicago
and her two brothers Thomas and Fred of Rawdon survive.
The funeral will held on Sunday afternoon from Wellman's United
Church and Interment in Wellman's Cemetery.
