 Octavianus, Pope John XII - 964Loading... Octavianus, Pope John XII A copy of a contemporary portrait of John XII, c. 960. It was in this year that John’s portrait was painted which was previously located in the old sacristy of the Lateran basilica, and which was later copied by Cardinal Rasponi. However it is to be noted that John XII was possibly only 27 years old when he died.
